Vibe is surely on point!!! I met some amazing Black thinkers, conversationalists, advocates for community and just basic good folks. I was able to work, be enlightened, share, build and support a Black-owned business. The only drawback to the experience is that the wifi was super-slow. So, I was there for several hours without access. One of the staff members (the more business-y, less customer-service and warm-feeling gentleman) only offered a reason, "...lots of people are on it, so it's slow." However, another staff worker--a lot more friendlier offered a solution: he gave me the network name and password for the faster connection which fixed my whole issue. The other brother was going to allow me to leave (even though I'd spent nearly $100 on apparel and food) and not offer such a simple solution. I won't hold the whole establishment responsible for the lack of 1 individual. 4 stars it is!!

This place is amazing! I've been here several times now - staff is friendly, atmosphere is great, and the books are always worth a look to expand and deepen your thinking on society, race, class, and more. A great asset to the community!

My friend loves it here and goes here all the time to write. She showed me this little place a couple days ago. It's a really nice cafe/library to get something to drink and to lounge and read or write. It's a quiet place to go to in Germantown. I really enjoyed their iced coffee and lounging areas, plus all the books and merchandise to look at while you're there. I will definitely be back!

Satisfying spot. Comfortable place to hang, talk and nibble. Great community engagement. Check out all their events. They've got free movies on Fridays! Saw the film "Quest" there tonight. What a fantastic documentary about a real N. Philly family. And the opportunity to sit and visit with that family and the director and another wonderful cast member after the movie was so right! Great night.

If I had the time, I would have spent the whole day here. Bring a book (or not, they sell PLENTY) and enjoy a nice hot cup of tea. Their selection of books covers just about every genre (kids included) so you won't be bored. Everything from the servers to the food and music make the atmosphere so inviting that it really is easy to get trapped here for a whole day. I urge you to go and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
